Connect Claude
Add Tyton to claude.ai or Claude Desktop, then sign in when you start paid setup.
What you need
A Claude account that can add custom connectors. The steps are the same in claude.ai and Claude Desktop, because the connector belongs to your Claude account. Your plan or organization settings may limit custom connectors: Free plans allow one, and on Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds connectors for everyone. See Claude’s custom connector guide.
For paid setup you also need a Tyton account and plan. If you don’t have them yet, Tyton walks you through both when you sign in.
Add Tyton
These steps follow Claude’s custom connector guide.
- Go to Customize > Connectors, select + Add, then Add custom connector. On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it from Organization settings > Connectors.
- Name it Tyton and enter
https://mcp.usetyton.com/mcp. - If Claude asks how people sign in, choose Sign in when needed. Leave the OAuth client and request header fields empty.
- Select Add. In a conversation, open the + menu, choose Connectors and turn Tyton on.
Run the free audit
Ask Claude to audit your website. The audit works straight away, with no Tyton account or sign-in.
If you only want the audit, you can add https://mcp.usetyton.com/audit instead. That connector never asks you to sign in and can’t start paid setup.
Start paid setup
- Ask Claude to set up tracking. When it needs your Tyton account, Claude shows Connect for Tyton. Select it.
- Sign in to Tyton, or create an account and choose a plan.
- Under Website it can use, pick your website, or choose Add a website if your plan has a free site slot. Select Allow access.
- You’ll return to Claude. Ask it to continue setup.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, each person connects for themselves from Customize > Connectors with Connect.
Success check
Claude can read setup progress for the website you picked and tells you its name or address. Connecting gives Claude access to that website only. Your tracking plan still needs your approval. See what your agent can do.
If you get stuck
- Tyton isn’t in your connectors list: your plan or organization may limit custom connectors. Ask your Claude organization owner.
- The sign-in page says the request has ended: the request timed out or was already used. Go back to Claude and connect Tyton again.
- Your site slots are all in use: review your plan in Tyton, or remove a website you no longer need, then connect again from Claude.
- Claude connected to the wrong website: select Disconnect for it on the Integrations page in Tyton, then connect again and pick the right one.
- Claude can’t reach Tyton: check the URL is exactly
https://mcp.usetyton.com/mcp.
Don’t paste a Tyton server key into a chat message, the connector URL or an OAuth client field. Signing in replaces the key for Claude.
